Welcome!

QUICK SUMMARY

WHO WE ARE
We are a Christ centered, Biblically focused, simple church.
We gather to Worship God corporately and to put you on track to study God’s Word personally.
If you genuinely want to know God through His Word (which is the only way to truly know God)...
it's our church's goal to help you do that, without cluttering your life with programs and events!

Our preaching style is Expository i.e. the preacher reads the Bible and explains it verse by verse.
Our music 'style' is blended; Old & New
Songs - valuing biblically sound lyrics over style.
We partake in two ordinances: Believer's Baptism and a monthly Lord's Supper.
Our church polity is Elder led and congregationally affirmed on major decisions.
We teach that a person is saved by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone.
We are an autonomous congregation - affiliated with the Knox County Association of Baptists
and her mission partners for the purpose of reaching the Nations with the gospel.
You are most welcome to join us anytime!

OUR MOTTO
Love God - Love Others - Make Disciples
Our motto is based on:
The Great Commandment: Mark 12:29-31 & The Great Commission: Matthew 29:19-20

OUR NAME
The phrase 'HIS People' appears 165 times in the Bible (English Standard Version).
In the Old Testament the phrase refers to God's covenant people, Israel.
In the New Testament it refers to the people of God's New Covenant,
people from every nation who are saved by Jesus Christ!

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,
that you may proclaim the excellences of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy,
but now you have received mercy
