Welcome to our prayer information page ladies!

​We meet online for prayer once a month, except for July and December. We meet at 6:30 pm on a Thursday evening. The dates can be found on the church calendar.

​We meet via Google Meet. The instructions on how to download the app and how to join the meeting can be seen below. If you need help to download the app please speak with Shirley Irwin on Sunday!

Lucy will send out a reminder the week before on GroupMe. And Lisa another reminder the week of. Please email or text Lucy by 2pm on the day of the meeting to be put in the group. (Please don’t RSVP via GroupMe. I might miss it. Thank you!)
Those joining the meeting will receive a text that afternoon so you can know who will be meeting up to pray with you! Sometimes it is hard to see who all are on. 😊
 
AND ONE EXTRA NOTE: Perhaps it is a good idea to go on the app before Thursday to check that it is still functioning. I have found, if it sits unused for a while, it just decides to not work properly. It won’t let me call you in the group. It just tells me to send a link once the meeting has started. At times it won’t even show that you are available on Google Meet. So, it will be a great help if you check your app well before the meeting begins. Thank you! 😊
 
Just a reminder of the details... 
 
Come and pray with us. Or if you would just like to come and read scripture during the prayer evening, bring a few verses along that you can read aloud. You will be praying God's own words back to Him! What better prayer can there be! And it is also totally fine if you want to join and just be with us in His presence listening to prayers and praying in your heart. 
 
AND ... Just wait for a call, don't push any buttons.
You don’t even have to open the app. Just wait for your phone to ring. See the photo below. At the top of your phone screen, you will see that I am calling.
Just push the green video. And you will be in. If you are not 'in the meeting' once the meeting has started, I will send you the link to your text. Click on that, and it will let me know that you are trying to join. I will let you in. 😊
 

A reminder of the steps.... 

Step 1
Download the GoogleMeet app and make sure you have it.  (If you need help please ask for help!) 
Remember to update it from time to time. 
 
To download and install the Google Meet app, you can:
For Android, launch Google Play and search for Google Meet, then install it. For iOS, launch App Store and search for Google Meet, then install it. On your computer, go to meet.google.com using Chrome browser, then click Install in the URL bar. The Meet app appears in your app dock.

Step 2
Let Lucy know by 2:00 PM on the Thursday of the meeting if you will be joining us for prayer later that evening.

This gives me time to set up the meeting and check that I can find all the numbers.
 
Step 3
All you need to do is be with your phone at 6:30 pm Thursday evening in the spot where you will be praying. Make sure your ringer is up. 
You will get a phone call.
Answer it by pushing on the green video. And you will be in the group. 😊
 
If you run into any problems please shoot me a message.
At times the number will show up as an unknown number and not as my number. Please answer it at 6:30 since it will be me. 😊
You can have your camera off if you like since we will be praying and won't be having a chat. 
Please feel free to pray. There is no right or wrong way. 
 
Step 4
Lisa will open up in prayer. 
(While I check that everyone made it in. 😊)
And then we will all just pray and share scripture as we would during any prayer time together. 
Closer to 7:30 Lucy will end us off in prayer and will end the meeting. After I end the meeting, everyone should push the little red telephone down to leave the meeting.
 
Please note, on an evening when Lisa or Lucy can’t make it, Angela Langer will be the stand in to either open up in prayer, or end.
