(Nursery, Pre-School & Early Elementary) Children's program is available in a safe and secure environment during the Worship Service. Parents/guardians are encouraged to drop their children off 5-15 minutes before the Worship Service begins. A Teacher or Assistant will be there to meet you. Your child's temperature will be taken and you will need to sign them in before dropping them off and out after the service. We take the safety and security of your child very seriously. Our church looks forward to serving you and your child in a Christ-Centered, loving environment.
If a parent/guardian prefers to keep their children with them in the Worship Service, they are welcome to do so, as long as they are sensitive to the rest of the congregation if their child becomes disruptive or distracting.
What to bring every Sunday Epi Pen (If applicable) Fully equipped diaper bag (If applicable) Parents to please provide wipes and diapers, this way we can use what you feel comfortable with. Please do not leave a child in the nursery with a soiled diaper. Please change your child's diaper before delivering your child to his/her class. Please label items clearly.
Snack Policy Because of allergies we do not have any food in Kids Church, therefore you may want to provide your child with a snack and a drink before they come to church if it is quite some time after breakfast. The snack is to be consumed before they enter Kids church please.
What is my child learning? We are currently using Kids Sunday School Place https://www.kidssundayschool.com/ as well as Answers to Genesis https://answersingenesis.org/ . We incorporate lessons on missions as well as mission’s projects in our Kids Church too! There are some great free resources available from organizations such as Wycliffe and Compassion. We don’t have to look far for projects that our kids can get involved in. An example of such a project is doing chores to raise funds to buy chickens for a family in need. (Through Samaritans Purse.)
Few things to mention. If you are visiting for the first time please complete a registration form for your child. Please sign in and sign out your child. Parents please keep your phones on vibrate. You will receive a text during service if needed. Parents must remain on the church premises while their child is checked in to children’s ministry.
Sickness Policy: Each child's temperature will be taken before they enter the kids church area. We realize a child’s illness can be a difficult time for a parent and that it’s often frustrating to rearrange your schedules to provide care for a sick child at home. Not to mention the added cost involved. We want to help eliminate these concerns as much as possible. The best way to prevent illness is to prevent exposure. The purpose of this policy is to help our teachers, caregivers and parents to work together to provide a healthy environment. Parents, please be considerate! Parents are asked not to bring their child to children’s church if one of the following conditions exists or has existed in the last 24 hours: Temperature of 100 degrees or higher/ Vomiting/ Diarrhea/ Severe Coughing and drainage (Coughs linger so this applies to a recent onset of coughing.)/ Pink eye/ Head lice/ Undiagnosed rash/ Open skin lesions/ Any infectious disease. No medication will be administered by any non-parent to any child in the kids department. The only exception – An EpiPen! Parents to be called immediately! Prevention is best course of action! No food in the Kids Department! Parents please talk to your child’s teacher about your child’s EpiPen and your preferences. (Preferences to be recorded please) We are looking forward to getting to know your child better and working together as a team to see them grow in the Lord. *To see full copy of Policies and Procedures we do have a hard copy on hand for you to peruse'
