GREG NAUDE

Pastor Greg has faithfully served our church since leading its founding in 2013. His ministry journey alongside his wife, Lucy, began in 1993 when they met while serving together on a Baptist missions team in South Africa. Married in 1996, Lucy serves faithfully as Greg's devoted helpmate, exceptionally supporting his pastoral leadership. Together, they have spent over three decades side-by-side in all sorts of ministry, dedicated to missions, church planting, children's and youth ministry and church revitalization across South Africa, Virginia, and Tennessee.
Before answering the call to ministry, Greg attended the Television Learning Academy, pursuing a career in television commercial marketing and music video production. But after coming to faith in Christ in the army, his path quickly shifted toward the church. Earning a four-year Licentiate in Ministries degree at the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa. Greg is known for his approachable yet uncompromised teaching style. He does not shy away from complex theological themes or difficult passages of Scripture. Instead, he focuses on breaking down tough topics into clear, practical concepts that anyone can grasp. His ultimate goal is to equip his congregation with the tools they need to know God deeply, love Him completely, serve Him passionately, worship Him rightly and confidently grow in His grace through their own personal study of God's Word. Greg and Lucy have two boys, Alex and Ben. One is all grown up and one's just getting started. |
DAVID LANGFORD

A founding member of our church, David was ordained as an Elder on July 17, 2022, after spending many years faithfully preaching and teaching God’s Word among us. He regularly serves as a 5x5 Bible teacher and periodically preaches or leads our midweek Bible study.
David attended Pellissippi State Community College and University of Tennessee and works as an accountant at Bechtel in Oak Ridge. In addition to his role as an elder, he serves the church as Treasurer, oversees the audio/visual ministry, and contributes in many other areas of service. David is married to Donna, and together they have one son, TJ. |
PAUL SCHMUTZLER

Paul and his family came to HPC in 2017. He was ordained as an Elder on February 22, 2026. He serves as a 5x5 Bible Teacher and is our Lead musician. He also performs several other service tasks in the church. Paul is a graduate of Bob Jones University and is a Video Producer at Cirrus Aircraft by profession. He is married to Heidi, they have two kids, Vincent and Eva.
